YOUR SKIPPER

John Keggie is a dedicated sea angler with over 30 years experience gained from fishing many areas including Scotland, Ireland, and the south coast including the channel islands. He is a qualified D.T.I. approved skipper with qualifications in navigation,first aid,and safety and a member of the professional boatman's association.

He has many years experience fishing the west coast for Giant Skate and also the many wrecks and reefs that provide good fishing at different times of the year.



YOUR CHARTER VESSEL

Oberon is a fast purpose built 43 foot Aquastar and has comfort, speed, functionality and above all safety. She is coded to MCA standard area 2 for up to 60 miles offshore.

Oberon is powered by twin Volvos giving her over 620 horsepower and is one of the biggest and best equipped charter boats operating in and around Scotland and has:

  • A LARGE SAFE AREA FOR ANGLING
  • A HEATED CABIN WITH A SHELTERED DECK
  • GALLEY AND WC WITH HOT AND COLD WATER
  • AN INSULATED FISH HOLD
  • FULL ELECTRONICS AND SAFTY EQUIPMENT
  • CRUISING SPEED OF 16 KNOTS

    • CHARGES

    Oberon is licensed for up to 12 anglers,however for your comfort and enjoyment we limit the numbers to 8 for skate fishing and 10 for general fishing.

    Charges can be for the hole boat or individuals.
    Full boat charter for skate fishing £380 midweek £400 weekend including tackle.
    Individuals £50.
    Distant wreck/reef fishing £400/450 depending on distance and duration of trip.
    Individuals from £45.
    Individual Hire of rod and reels £7.
    bait normally free of charge from July to October other months £4 per person subject to availability storm shades and lures available at cost price.
